1.Please note that the process could end at any point in each pathway.
2.Please note that interim policies may need to be implemented due to compliance, legal needs, or emergencies.
3.Substantive Revisions: Revisions that alter the meaning, goals, intent, or core components of a policy.
4.Non-substantive Revisions: Revisions that correct a grammatical or formatting error, update the name or title of an office or person named in a policy, update the organization of the information in the policy, or make other similar minor changes to the policy.
New Policy or Substantive Revision
- Policy Proposal
- Policy Office Proposal Review
- Policy Executive Committee (PEC) Proposal Review
- Development (either 4a or 4b)
- 4a. Development of New Policy
- 4b. Development of Substantive Revision3
- Approval (back to 4 if requires revision)
- Academic Policy UFC votes
- Administration Policy Responsible office signs off
- Public Review Policy is posted for a 10-business day review period (back to 4 if requires revision)
- Policy Executive Committee (PEC) Final Approval PEC votes to approve. PEC forwards to President and BoT those that require their approval
Retirement of Policy
- Policy Proposal
- Policy Office Proposal Review
- Policy Executive Committee (PEC) Proposal Review
- Development of Policy Retirement
- Approval (back to 3 if requires revision)
- Academic Policy UFC votes
- Administration Policy Responsible office signs off
- Public Review Policy is posted for a 10-business day review period (back to 3 if requires revision)
- Policy Executive Committee (PEC) Final Approval PEC votes to approve. PEC forwards to President and BoT those that require their approval
