Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Rights
The Family Medical Leave Act of 1993 as amended is a lengthy, complex law with over a hundred pages of federal regulations written to explain and aid in the application of the act. The Family Medical Leave Act was enacted in 1993 and has been amended numerous times. The most recent amendments were signed into law on October 28, 2009 and became effective on the date of signing.
